A study on Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), led by Zach Cooper, shows that it effectively reduces depressive and anxiety symptoms in primary care patients with co-occurring conditions like hypertension, obesity, and diabetes. Conducted with 80 participants, the study revealed significant improvements in mental health and well-being for those who received the SFBT intervention, although physical health markers did not show immediate change. The findings suggest SFBT could be a valuable tool for managing mental health in primary care settings.
