Work by Dr. Mowbray and other was recently featured as part of the 2024 American Psychological Convention IMPACT Programming. IMPACT Programming explores the breadth and scope of work being conducted on the same topic by members of APA. Their study using Medicaid data from Georgia showed that following a PSWRC stay, participants experienced increased use of recovery-oriented services and a decrease in overall and intensive service use, highlighting the centers' effectiveness in enhancing mental health care accessibility and reducing reliance on higher-intensity interventions.
